The Saturn's Wish 2025 Film Festival is presented by Saturn's Wish (SW), a TGI Arts and Culture initiative empowering trans, gender expansive, and intersex Black, Indigenous, People of Color in Los Angeles county. We invite all TGI film makers of ANY skill level to submit to the festival.
Category and Theme:
Our theme for the 2025 film festival is "We are written in the stars, our future is NOW," and draws on motifs of the apocalypse. Not the destruction of life as we know it, but a fall to the structures that diminish our ability to thrive. For Black, Indigenous, and People of Color – we live and have survived the apocalypse numerous times; our communities harness strategies of care to uplift one another by any means necessary. How do you see yourself written in the stars? How do the stars guide all of us to the future we want to live in today?
